The project stems from the idea of combining several topics that interest me: walking and cycling routes, territory, trace, analog photography, and absurd measurements.
At the beginning of 2024, I was traveling 3.6 km every day from my home to the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, where I was attending a Master’s program in Arts. Based on that distance, I came up with the idea of documenting one of these walks by taking a photograph with my analog camera every 100 meters, until I completed both the roll and the journey.
This then became a method for recording routes, by dividing the total distance into a series of 36-exposure film rolls.
Each of these is presented as a looped video.
